Winter Haven Martial Arts Academy Terms and Conditions

1. General Membership Terms

Membership at Winter Haven Martial Arts Academy is open to individuals of all ages, subject to availability and compliance with the Academy's rules and regulations.

All members must complete and sign a membership application form and agree to these terms and conditions before participating in any classes or activities.

Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable except under specific circumstances approved by the Academy’s management.
2. Payment and Fees
-
Membership fees are due on the first of each month. Failure to pay on time may result in suspension or cancellation of membership.

The Academy reserves the right to adjust membership fees, class fees, and other charges with 30 days’ notice to members.

Additional fees may apply for special events, seminars, testing, and other activities.
3. Class Attendance and Conduct

Members are expected to arrive on time and be prepared for each class with the appropriate uniform and equipment.

Respect for instructors, fellow students, and the facility is mandatory. Disruptive behavior or disrespectful conduct will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.

Members are responsible for informing the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or limitations before participating in any class.
4. Health and Safety

Members participate in classes and activities at their own risk. The Academy is not responsible for any injuries sustained during participation.

All members must sign a waiver of liability before participating in any classes or activities.

The Academy maintains a clean and safe environment. Members are expected to contribute to this by maintaining personal hygiene, using equipment properly, and following all safety guidelines.
5. Cancellation and Termination of Membership

Members may cancel their membership by providing 30 days’ written notice to the Academy. No refunds will be provided for partial months.

The Academy reserves the right to terminate any membership for violation of these terms and conditions, disruptive behavior, or other actions deemed inappropriate by the management.

If a member’s behavior is found to be detrimental to the Academy or its members, the Academy reserves the right to take immediate action, including suspension or termination of membership without notice.
6. Use of Facilities and Equipment

Members are entitled to use the Academy’s facilities and equipment during scheduled class times.

Any damage to the Academy’s property caused by a member’s negligence or misuse will result in the member being held responsible for repair or replacement costs.

The Academy is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
7. Media Release
-
Members consent to the use of their image, likeness, and voice in photographs, videos, or other media produced by the Academy for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.

Members who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must inform the Academy in writing.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
-
Winter Haven Martial Arts Academy reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via email or posted notices within the Academy.

Continued use of membership and participation in Academy activities after changes to the terms and conditions constitutes acceptance
